i have been to Annah Rais Homestay (3rd september 2011) which located 60KM away from Kuching City. It is a old Bidayuh tribe's longhouse over hundred of families.i was driving from Kuching it will took an hour from the town and reached at 7.00pm. Along the way i really enjoyed the scene of mountain view, limestone hill and greenish of nature beauty while driving alone..
when i just arrived at Annah Rais Homestay, few of beautiful ladies / dayung already waiting for the visitor at the entrance. After have a great welcoming, a little sweety girl guide me to refreshment centre and take my dinner after that. Some indulgence dishes have been prepared by the villagers and it free of charge! one of my favourite manok pansoh (bamboo chicken) ! hehe..
After my stomach filled full, then i just seated and enjoyed the environment... Guest of honor that night was YB Dr Dato James Dawos Mamit, Deputy Minister of Tourism Malaysia. Then, i watched a great welcoming dance by a couple of father and son in law which called Rangi Pinyambut plus listening on live traditional music.
The most inspired me to come on this gawai tourism at Annah Rais Homestay was to enjoyed and experience the Bidayuh's Tribes Community celebrating their gawai (Gawia Sowa). Although it just a few hour of celebrating but its really great dude ! Some of the activities that i enjoyed that night such dancing for sure, meet some new friends, last but not least the "Spring Ladies" hehe.. later show u the picture of them. What i known from one of my friend, this small group "Semban's Tribe" come from the top of hills. Speciality of this group is they can climb up / down the hills faster than us ! interesting isn't it? they wearied 'the ring' on their hands and legs since they was kid ! wow~

All night long i really enjoyed my happy hour.. hehe.. before i ending my stories, here i would like to shared with u guys the other information about Annah Rais Homestay ! come and visit sarawak ! they still lots of nature mystery uncovered yet...
